Hardcourt

Hardcourt is a basketball event paired with a mobile application that draws attention to underutilized spaces and parks by bridging players, locals, and communities together. Currently, outdoor basketball courts are becoming overcrowded and are maintained rarely. By partnering with Parks and Rec, Hardcourt aims bring attention to underutilized courts through renovating the space and holding an event that brings the best local players to the game via the mobile application. The community curates and chooses who they want to see play in this game. Hardcourt explores and pushes the boundaries of basketball pickup games by involving the community to recognize talented players as well as public spaces.
